Enterrada demo (3 themes mix) – From Demo by David Molina.

In 2007, David Molina first learned of his mother’s complicated history and immigrant struggle when he interviewed her for part one of BORDER TRIP(tych). Her story recounts leaving El Salvador and coming to the U.S. alone, later returning to her homeland due homesickness. She and David’s father were consequently forced to return to the U.S. and cross the border illegally in order to get young, dying, infant David adequate medical attention. In time, they settled in the U.S, working the typical immigrant jobs, and eventually hosting relatives fleeing El Salvador’s bloody Civil War.

About us
We are Secos y Mojados, a San Francisco based collective focusing our work on immigrant narratives and the exploration of interdisciplinary performance. Our name evokes the effect that clandestine border crossings, through deserts, rivers and sea, have on the body of the migrant.
